SD-WAN Security

SD-WAN Security is the process of inspecting incoming and outgoing traffic (including site-to-site traffic) in an effort to maintain the security and restriction of access to files from unauthorized access, much like standard network security.

SD-WAN Security focuses on the process of inspecting incoming and outgoing traffic with the intent of protecting access to files and data integrity. With the varied deployment or umbrella of SD-WAN (VPN, cloud managed routers, cloud networking, QoS, and more) there are added security features which stem from service chaining beyond foundational security features including firewalls, web filtering for direct brand-to-cloud connectivity, and even granular levels and layers of security aligned on a per-application or traffic-type basis. SD-WAN vendors often develop more security options on their own as well as in conjunction with third-party security vendors.
